Oh Jesus,
There is so much violence in the world;
is it because we don't stop to think
that we just battle on;
so sure it is right
when it is wrong;
so sure it is wrong
when it is right.
Oh Jesus, I pray
teach me to stop flaunting
and to think.
To stretch out in kindness
and gentleness
and strength
and to understand
what is the true
and holy meaning
of right and wrong
and to smile a bit more.
